I heard the same stuff on the radio on the way home. Rain is the great equalizer and it negates speed. It didn't seem to effect Robinson any. On the 40+ yarder he scored in the first half it showed Coleman way behind him and him pulling away.

I think this is another thing that's adding to some of the CW folks frustration tonight. Rain being a factor, but for some reason one kid ran through, over, and around the others for 236 yards while the other two combined for 17. I guess I'll take old "slow" Robinson any day of the week.

the offense was totally inept with him out for the time he was out.

It was just a cramp. He was only out 3 plays.

Anyone know what type of cleat clintwood uses? They sure could make some great cuts in that swamp.

It was a heck of a nasty game. Neither team played particularly well. I think Norton had 8 penalties, Clintwood 6, but 2 of Nortons ended up being 1.5 yard penalties, so it ends up being about the same, but Clintwood had more penalty yards.

Lots of bobbled snaps for both teams, but really most of them recovered by the team that fumbled. I think Norton lost 2, Clintwood 1 (if memory is right).

And while the rain hurt Norton in some regards, it also helped them in others.

I was a bit disappointed in one, small section of Norton fans, around 25 or so who someone mentioned on another thread as booing during the announcemnt of starters and all. I don't hold that against the majority of their fans, just like I am not grouping all their posters into 1-2 'bad eggs'. I think most of Nortons intelligent fans realized that no matter what the conditions, it would be a good game and that Clintwoods path to this game was a bit tougher, and that could hinder Norton (which I think it did).

Thankfully it seemed like the rattled players were ok and back in the game, there was some big hits on both sides, and I don't know about most Clintwood fans, but I was scared to death because Norton went through I think the entire 1st half without a first down, and they were tied. Clintwood had chances and due to conditions, Norton stepping up or Clintwood screwing up, they couldn't finish drives. I expected something bad to happen.

and i'll say it again pay attention this time!!! Clintwoods line got Robinson in the 2nd level of Nortons defense, thats why he was able to do the things he did tonight! If Norton had the push like Cwood did miles and coleman both would've had huge nights!

He should be at about 1300-1350.

Not trying to embarass anyone i have said that they played a great game, but i just dont see the point in making excuses for losing you can blame on this and that all you want but in the end it comes down to who is the better team

I'm just glad that the ref's didn't end up causing the loss to any one team. Remember this CW.

They wasnt the best officiating crew ever was surprised they let the roughing the kicker go when the guy tackled robbins wasnt even an attempt at a block

Yeah I did see Godsey attempt to block the kick and he did make contact with the ball which lead to a missed xpoint.

There are always questionable calls in every game. So theres no real use to complain about them cause u cant change them.

I did notice that the refs took a long time to throw the flag both ways.

yep they did should have been a better crew than that assigned to this game

Yea that would be about my only complaint about the officials they seemed to wait around 5 seconds until the play was over to throw a flag.
And no one is ever happy with officials. I think this was a good crew and wouldnt mind them calling the next game clintwood and norton play if they advance.

Only issue I had was with, I think white hat. Not the calls so much, I thought they were probably legit, but it was like he waited to see the result of the play to decide if he wanted to call it.

Under the field conditions, I thought it was a decent called game. Not sure, but did Norton get called for an offensive penalty?

A few false starts and delay of games but not sure i saw any others.

Several delay of games, but I can't remember a false start right off. First time I've ever seen a delay of game on the first play that I can remember.

That being said, I can't hardly read my stuff near the end of the 3rd quarter, I'll have to watch the film again to be sure of about 4-5 plays.

I remember at least 1 false start cause Derek pointed it out to the official.

Normally i don't reply when see a post like this but well i COULD NOT RESIST. First let me say I am not from Norton . I don't have a relative playing. That being said, why can't people just be magnanimous and say good game and go on?
